Read a dozen books. Read a couple hundred blog posts. If you want great copywriting advice, save yourself some time and effort and just watch this video with Luke Sullivan. Simplicity isn’t everyone’s philosophy, but it’s mine. Not too often I agree with everything someone says, but Mr. Sullivan and I are on the same page, except his page is much more famous and celebrated than mine.

    I love the whole “admit that you suck a little bit” premise. Excellent. Get the crap out. Get it on paper… realize it sucks… and move on. Get passed this stuff.

    Too bad we don’t see this practiced much anymore these days… well at least at certain agencies.

    Yeah, venting bad ideas to get them out of the way only works if they’re universally recognized as bad ideas and not mistaken for revolutionary ones.
